Description:

This site offers stunning lake views and of the surrounding rural landscape. When designing the proposed dwelling we put a strong emphasis on ingratiating the form into the existing topography so as not to present a negative visual impact in a scenic area while also achieving  a scale in keeping with a comfortable family home. A simple material palette of white render and timber was selected to offer a clean, sharp finish softened in parts with a strong vertical emphasis. The large fenestration maximises solar gains while capturing and framing specific views. The mono-pitch standing seam roof presents itself as a continuation of the sloped site.
