Description:

An extension, full reconfiguration and alterations to an existing period property to create a family home on a beautiful rural site. The brief was to design a space and reconfigure the existing layout to allow a more natural flow between spaces and maximise solar gain/natutal light penetration. The material palette was heavily influenced by the mature trees on site. It was essential to keep the integrity and balance of the existing structure by creating a contrast with the proposed extension. The fenestration placement was used to further highlight this.
